Freddie Wulf makes visceral and visual performance. This often involves dance, lip sync, video, sound and something sticky like fake blood or bright blue goo.
Freddie is interested in nonhuman/material agency, affect/haptics/sensation, and in somatic experiences as a way to generate empathy and connection. His work came from drag and is heavily influenced by UK drag history & community.
Freddie is trans masculine, white British and neurodivergent. His work is sex positive & draws from kink methodologies. Learning about accessibility – especially how to make working practices accessible – is an ongoing part of his practice.
Freddie’s work has been shown at: Fierce Festival, V&A Lates, LADA’s ‘Just Like a Woman’ programme, Buzzcut, SPILL National Platform, In Between Time New Bloods, The Cube Cinema, and the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. In 2022 he received a Fierce Further Jerwood Commission.
