Join artist Theo Simpson as he discusses his commission for Jerwood/Photoworks Awards 2020 with gallerist Dominic Bell.
This In Conversation event series has been developed in collaboration with the artists featured in the exhibition Jerwood/Photoworks Awards 2020 and gives you a chance to meet the artists and guest speakers; providing an insight into the ideas and processes behind the works in the exhibition.
The conversation will last for approximately 45 minutes, followed by an opportunity to ask questions. The exhibition will be open before the event for an opportunity to view the works.
About the artist’s guest
Dominic Bell works for Webber Gallery which is dedicated to showcasing and supporting the personal work of both represented and affiliated artists. The gallery was founded in 2014 and has worked with Theo on several projects since 2017. webberrepresents.com
About the artist
Theo Simpson (b.1986, Doncaster) lives and works in Lincolnshire, UK. Recent exhibitions include Toward the Metal, solo show, Photo London, Somerset House, London (2019); Loading, group show, Foam, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2018); Part and Whole, solo show, Foam 3H, Amsterdam (2018); A Green and Pleasant Land, group show, Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne (2017); The land of the day before, solo show, Webber Gallery, London (2017). He was also the 2017 Outset Unseen Exhibition Fund Winner.
