To coincide with the opening week of Jerwood Collaborate! and Frieze London we open our doors for a late viewing, giving you the chance to enjoy the exhibition out of hours.
Feel My Metaverse: mind, body and screen

Bring your smartphone to view a new performance by dance artist Sakeema Crook through a dedicated Instagram filter. Specially commissioned for Jerwood Collaborate! this performance is an extension of Keiken + George Jasper Stone’s CGI film and installation Feel My Metaverse, in which Sakeema features as the character ‘Pando’.
For Jerwood Arts first ever ‘phygital’ event, this physical and digital intervention of the installation will give attendees the opportunity to view the performance in real life and/or experience it through an Augmented Reality Instagram filter. Sakeema explores embodiment and movement as she interacts with her digital avatars, recorded through motion capture and 3D face scanning.

Keiken
Keiken, meaning ‘experience’ in Japanese, is a hybrid practice founded in 2015 by artists Tanya Cruz, Hana Omori, Isabel Ramos and collaborators. Based in London and Penzance, they use moving-image, new media installation, virtual/augmented reality and performative lectures to test-drive impending futures in the realms of the ‘phygital’ (physical and digital). When working collectively Keiken become part of a fluid entity, an open-source ecosystem: with interchangeable roles, collaborators shape, challenge and transform projects. Keiken have toured their performative lecture Honey, I’m Data! at IMPAKT Festival (Utrecht) and Hervisions at LUX Moving Image and Space Art + Technology (London). In March 2019 Keiken were also part of the panel Technology and its Intersections at ICA (London). They have exhibited and curated at CTM and Transmediale’s Vorspiel festival (Berlin), MIRA Festival (Barcelona) and U Studio at Tate St Ives. www.instagram.com/_keiken_/
George Jasper Stone
George is a CGI artist and content designer based in London who collaborates with artists and designers to produce short films, live visuals and graphics. His work is characterised by constructing vignettes and scenes, that blend digital experiences with physical entities using intuitive, digital processes. Holding the algorithmic with the real world that interlinks fantasy and reality, he transcodes data from these physical environments to digital landscapes. www.instagram.com/georgejasperstone/
Sakeema Crook
Sakeema is an international dance artist, working across contemporary, commercial and fashion industries and a Trans Activist. Sakeema graduated with a first class BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from London Contemporary Dance School (2015) and has since toured works by Shobana Jeyasingh, Fevered Sleep, Holly Blakey, Hubert Essakow, Alexander Whitley and Gandini Juggling to name a few. Sakeema also vogues, is an active part of the London Ballroom Scene and recently performed for Years and Years’ Pyramid Stage set at Glastonbury.
