For her final response to the Jerwood Solo Presentations 2019 exhibition, Gwen Burlington has devised a game modeled on the workshop, Playing in a World, by Kitty Clark and Jamie Sutcliffe that took place in the gallery on Saturday 2 March. Drawing inspiration from the way that character identities and narratives are constructed in role playing games, Gwen asks the a reader to follow a series of steps, with the piece offering multiple interpretations of the work through a system of variable readings.
