About the artist’s guest
For more than forty-five years, Caroline has run a practice exploring objects that come into contact with and interact with the body. What started with jewellery developed into larger scale work, exploring outer extents of the body as seen through light, shadows and reflections and movement. She has taught for many years and recently retired as Course Leader for BA Jewellery Design at from Central Saint Martins and was the winner of the Jerwood Prize for Applied Arts: Textiles in 1997. carolinebroadhead.com
About the artist
Lucie Gledhill (b. 1983, London) is a London-based jeweller. She graduated with a Postgraduate Degree in Jewellery & Metalwork at the Royal College of Art in 2009 and since has become known for her expertise in chain making. Recent group exhibitions include: Collect 2019 (represented by Bishopsland Educational Trust), Saatchi Gallery, London (2019); The Size Of Thoughts, White Conduit Project, London (2019); and Goldsmiths Fair 2019, Goldsmiths College, London (2019). She is a freeman of the Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers and she runs a teaching workshop called ‘Made By Ore’ from her studio in Walthamstow. luciegledhill.com
