Situations is dedicated to commissioning and producing compelling and imaginative new forms of public art. For over a decade it has been supporting artists to make extraordinary ideas happen in unusual and surprising places, directly engaging in people’s lives and offering alternative ways in which to see, hear and connect to each other.
Our support will enable professional development for three artists working on substantial new commissions over an 18 month period, providing mentoring and producing support as they work either in the public realm for the first time, or on a significantly increased scale. The three artists are: Verity Standen, Claire Cunningham and Andy Ingamells.
It will also support Situations at a key time in its organisational development.
