What drew you to each other’s practice?
DN: Rafia had a commitment to care and good working practices that I really appreciate.
RH: I saw Demi’s work and it really resonated with me and I could feel how it was made with care for audiences.
How will you use the 1:1 FUND?
We applied to develop our artist/producer relationship.
Why did you choose the idea you will be working on?
We decided to work together just before the pandemic hit, so this period has been one where this working relationship hasn’t had the chance to solidify yet, we hope this will be that chance.
What is the one thing you most hope to gain from undertaking this work?
The funding will support us to create strong foundations for a sustainable working relationship.
