This practice is an attempt to render complex, critical, yet often abstract, socio-economic issues – globalisation, consumerism and urban development – as visible, sensorial and connected to people’s everyday lives.
Building on recent approaches to experimental, socially engaged video making, Ali will undertake a period of new research, informed by professional mentoring and collaboration with young people. Focusing on complex relationships between technology, participation and ethics. Ali will develop ideas towards a new body of work to be produced in 2020.
